Gifts
According to tradition, wedding guests arrive laden with toasters, fondue sets and lace doilies to help launch the happy couple into their life together. However, we have already been together for three years, lived in many and varied locations and built up a large stock of possessions.
Therefore, please don't feel you need to come with a gift. This applies especially to those of you who are travelling from overseas - we really appreciate how much time and expense is involved, and the opportunity to see you again will be enough.
We realise that you may nevertheless want to give a gift, so here's some helpful information.
Gift ideas
In case you do want to give a small gift but are stuck for an idea, here are a few possibilities. (Actually only one at the moment, but we hope to think of more.)
You also have to opportunity to contribute to a piece of exotic furniture...
Before our departure from Hong Kong, we seized the opportunity to buy a chinese stepped cabinet in Macau. If you wish to make a contribution to this as a wedding gift we would be happy to name a step after you. Numbers are strictly limited - there are only seven steps!
Gift registry
In case you would prefer to give a more traditional wedding gift, we have set up a gift registry at the David Jones department store. You can see this at any of their stores in Australia (including Sydney and Wollongong) or on the David Jones Gift Registry site. The "Occasion ID" for our registry is R01067394.
