Awards
There were so many highlights in the day that it's hard to pick just one (though "It is now my great pleasure to pronounce that you are husband and wife" was pretty nice). Anyway, we thought we'd recognise a few of the people and events that stood out.

Spottiest Gift
So many of the guests picked up the spotty theme on both their attire and in the presents they gave. For sheer outrageous spottiness, it would be hard to beat the doona cover kindly given to us by Lyn and Chris.
Spottiest Fairy Tale
Once upon a time there lived a beautiful princess named Joanne. She had a spotless life until one day she spotted handsome prince Bennett in a knotty forest. Spots burst forth and knotted them together in love. They lived spottily ever after.
The end.
For our guest book, Anna Maria wrote this beautiful fairy tale with a happy spotty ending. And best of all: it's a true story!
Best Catchers
Gillian leaped heroically to be the one to catch the bouquet - and announced her engagement a week later.
Jim plucked the garter from the air so smoothly, it was almost as if he'd practised beforehand. We await future announcements from him with great interest.
Best 007 Impersonator
Joanne's Uncle Peter handled his bubble gun like a professional. He may have seemed quite trigger-happy, but he had an important job to do: creating a bubbly backdrop to our photographs. He handled this task with enthusiasm and aplomb - just as 007 would have.
Most Far-Flung Guest and
Best Bloke in a Skirt
Double award-winner Alastair travelled all the way from Edinburgh in Scotland for the wedding - and liked it so much he decided to stay. As at January 2005, he's in Sydney learning to sail, and hopefully wearing more appropriate clothing.
Best Poem
Bennett's mother Marilyn immortalised the occasion in a poem entitled "The Nuptials of Joennett". Read it and relive the happy occasion. Between these evocative verses and the fun photos, it's almost as good as being there again!
Best Photo Crasher
As we posed for this photo, Joerg didn't think we were looking quite happy enough, so he leaped to the rescue and added his own smiling face. We thought the picture worked quite well.
